The "Presqu'Ile" is today an 800-acre brownfield the city of Caen (Normandy) wants to reactivate. It has to use this project to leverage its comparative advantages in the competition with other neighboring cities (Le Havre, Rouen, and Paris). These maps reveal local assets which are very valuable and too often unknown. The site appears to be at the intersection of dense networks of amenities. Situated between the sea and the country, and endowed with an important cultural heritage, Caen can offer an alternative and highly qualitative urban way of life. The city should seek to restore its attractiveness by building upon its specific identity.
